Dallas Jones is a nationally renowned radon expert with over thirty years and 10,000 hours of radon and Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) teaching expertise. He was an instructor for the Southern Region Radon Training Center at Auburn University from 1991-1994 and co-instructor for several of the early EPA-sponsored Radon in Schools demonstration projects.
From 2017-2022, Dallas served as the Executive Director of the American Association of Radon Scientists and Technologists (AARST), where he spearheaded national radon data collection for the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
His successful advocacy efforts resulted in the adoption of AARST voluntary consensus standards by the Environmental Protection Agency, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, and twenty state radon programs. His leadership also led to the prestigious ISO 17024 accreditation of the National Radon Proficiency Program by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
